Electric tar catcher is a kind of coke oven gas primary cooling equipment which uses high voltage direct current electric field to separate tar droplets and gas. Its structural arrangement can indeed significantly improve the recovery rate of the product.
The electric tar collector is mainly composed of shell, precipitation pole, upper and lower hangers, gas distribution plate, steam purging pipe, insulation box and feed box. The sedimentation pole tube bundle is composed of tube bundles and communicates with the upper and lower parts of the cylinder. The corona electrode device is suspended by a boom in an insulated box at the top. The structure is compact, the resistance is small, and the tar removal efficiency is high.

The oil mist particles are continuously condensed on the surface of the polar plate, the particles increase, and finally become oil droplets, which flow to the bottom of the equipment along the surface of the precipitation pole and are discharged through the sewage outlet.
